1. Who we are and what we offer

Lucea (lucea.app and webapp.lucea.app) is a service provided by Davide Dal Bo — Strada del Mozzato, 3, 31100 Treviso (Italy), who can be contacted at info@lucea.app or on +39 340 904 8505. The service generates personalised cosmetic routine suggestions based on the answers given to the questionnaire, possibly with the addition of contextual information such as the UV index of the chosen city. With an optional account, you can save routines and find them on any device.

2. Nature of the advice

Lucea's content consists of general cosmetic advice. It does not constitute medical advice, a diagnosis or a treatment, and it does not replace a doctor, dermatologist or pharmacist. If you have a skin disease or allergies, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or for the use of food supplements, always consult a healthcare professional. Food supplements are not a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.

3. Check before use

Product information (ingredients, characteristics, prices) comes from manufacturers, retailers or public databases, and may change without notice. Before buying or using a product, always check the ingredient list (INCI) and the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging, especially if you have allergies or sensitivities.

4. “Vegan” and similar information

The “vegan” information on Lucea comes from manufacturers' or retailers' own claims and may change over time. Before buying or using a product, always check the ingredient list (INCI) and the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging. We document the source of each piece of information and update it periodically, but we cannot guarantee its accuracy at all times.

5. Prices and purchases

The prices shown are approximate: the seller's prices at the time of purchase are the ones that apply. Lucea does not sell products: “Search online” opens a Google search in a new tab, and the purchase takes place on the website you choose, on its terms. Lucea is not a party to the sales contract and is not responsible for the availability, shipping or conformity of products. Lucea does not currently use affiliate links: if it ever does, it will say so next to the link and on this page, before activating them.

6. Third-party data

Weather data and the UV index come from MET Norway (CC BY 4.0 licence). Product recognition data comes from Open Beauty Facts (ODbL licence). These services are not affiliated with Lucea and their data may contain inaccuracies.

7. Permitted use

You may use Lucea for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not: interfere with the operation of the service; access our interfaces in an automated or large-scale way; systematically copy the content of the catalogue; use the service for unlawful activities or activities that infringe the rights of others.

8. Account

You can use Lucea without signing up. If you create an account — with an email address and password or with a Google account — you can save your routines and find them on any device. Credentials are managed by Firebase Authentication (Google); Lucea does not keep your password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for what happens with your account. The first time you log in, we ask you to accept these Terms and to confirm that you have read the Privacy Policy: without these confirmations the account is not activated. New accounts can't be created from some countries: the questionnaire and the routine remain available without an account.

You can delete your account at any time from the app (Profile → Delete account). Deletion is immediate and irreversible: it removes your saved routines, your recorded consents and your identity. We may suspend or close an account in the event of a breach of these Terms, abusive use of the service, or if we learn that it belongs to someone under 16.

9. Plans and features

Lucea offers a free plan and a Premium plan. With the free plan you receive your personalised routine and, if you have an account, you can view, rename and delete the routines you have already saved. The Premium plan adds: the ability to save new routines, to regenerate your routine with alternative products and to exclude brands, and the full section on food supplements. The plan is linked to the account and applies on all devices.

Activation of the Premium plan is not yet available: when it is, the terms, price and payment methods will be published on this page before activation.

10. Saved routines

Each saved routine is a snapshot of the moment you saved it: the list of products with step, name, brand, approximate price and link. It is not updated when the catalogue changes, and it contains neither your questionnaire answers nor the personalised explanations. You can save up to ten, give each one a title, rename it and delete it. The prices in a saved routine are those of the day it was saved and should be checked again before buying.

11. Age

The service is reserved for people aged 16 or over. We don't verify age: we rely on your declaration, both when you create an account and when you answer the questionnaire. In the questionnaire the age question cannot be skipped; you can, however, answer “Prefer not to say”, and in that case you declare that you are at least 18. Features reserved for adults, such as advice on food supplements, are not shown to anyone who gives an age under 18, and may instead be shown to those who prefer not to give it.

Responsibility for these declarations lies with the person using the service or, if they are a minor, with whoever holds parental responsibility or acts in that capacity, and it applies to anyone who uses Lucea, with or without an account. The age group is used only to tailor the advice: we don't use it for advertising or commercial profiling, and we don't keep it on our servers (a copy of the questionnaire answers stays only on your device, as described in the Privacy Policy).

12. Availability and changes to the service

Lucea is provided “as is”, without any guarantee of continuity or of freedom from errors. We may modify, suspend or discontinue the service, or parts of it, at any time. Features described as “coming soon” do not constitute a commitment.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Lucea is not liable for damage arising from the use of the suggested products, from information provided by third parties (manufacturers, retailers, databases) or from the unavailability of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it cannot be excluded or limited by law, nor does it affect the rights you have as a consumer.

14. Intellectual property

The Lucea name, logo, text, graphics and software of the service belong to its owner. The trademarks and product names mentioned belong to their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only, without any sponsorship or affiliation relationship except where expressly stated.

15. Privacy and cookies

The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy; the use of technical tools and statistics in the Cookie Policy. Both form an integral part of these terms.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms: the date at the top of the page always shows the current version. Use of the service after changes have been published constitutes acceptance of them. If you have an account, the app records the version you accepted.

17. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer and habitually reside in another country, this choice does not deprive you of the protection afforded to you by the mandatory provisions of the law of that country. For disputes with users acting as consumers, the court of the consumer's place of residence or domicile has jurisdiction, as provided for by the mandatory rules protecting consumers. For relations with parties not acting as consumers, the courts of Treviso have exclusive jurisdiction.

18. Contact

For any questions about these terms, write to info@lucea.app.
