What is Lucea?
Lucea is a free web app that suggests a tailor-made skincare routine; the iOS and Android apps are coming soon. You answer a two-minute questionnaire: Lucea chooses the products according to your needs and the budget you set. For each one it explains which active ingredients it contains and why they work for you, and in Italy and France it shows an approximate price.
How much does it cost?
The questionnaire and generating your routine are free, and the free version will always be useful. The Premium plan, coming soon, will give access to more features, such as a routine with more steps, saving routines and the guided skincare routine. Prices will be on a dedicated page when Premium is available.
Do I need to create an account?
No. The questionnaire and the routine work without signing up. With a free account you can also list the products you already use, and Lucea checks that they go well with your new routine. With the iOS and Android apps, coming soon, the account will also be used for notifications.
What data does Lucea collect?
As little as possible. Your questionnaire answers are used only to build your routine: they aren't saved on our servers and stay on your device, like the city you choose for the UV index, your language and the country for products. If you create an account, we keep your email address, the date you accept the terms and the routines you choose to save. All the details are in the Privacy Policy.
How are the products chosen?
With clear rules that are always the same: same answers, same routine. Lucea starts from your goals, your skin type and the sensitivities you mention, and tells you why it chose each product. We don't make cosmetics and we're not tied to any brand.
Does Lucea work outside Italy?
Yes, in Italian, English and French. In Italy and France, products are chosen one by one for that country's market, with an approximate price. In other countries, Lucea gives you the brand and international name of each product, without a price, with a button to search for it online; in some countries or for some steps, it gives you the type of product to look for instead. For now, food supplements and the UV index are available only in Italy. You can change the country for products from your results.
Does Lucea earn money from the products it recommends?
Not at the moment: “Search online” opens an ordinary search, with no affiliate links. If there ever are any, we'll tell you next to the link, and the price you pay won't change. In any case, commissions won't decide which products go into your routine.
Does Lucea also recommend supplements?
Only if you want, and for now only in Italian, in Italy. At the end of the questionnaire you can turn on an optional section with food supplements, described only with the claims permitted in Europe. They don't replace a varied diet or medical advice.
Is it medical advice?
No. Lucea's advice is for cosmetic and informational purposes and does not replace a medical or dermatological consultation. If your skin worries you, talk to a dermatologist.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. Lucea opens in your browser, on your phone or computer, with nothing to install. The iOS and Android apps are coming soon.
